The testing of a cliché: all ski instructors are machos and womanizers. We go undercover to find out the truth.

Ski instructor report - diagnosis

Place of examination: Obergurgl-Hochgurgl skiing area, Ötztal, Tirol

Factors examined:

Physical constitution: fit as a ski boot
With our hi-tech remote diagnosis tools we scan Anton, the most attractive ski instructor in the area. The bio-analysis provides information on the general fitness of the test subject, his body fat ratio and the tanning degree of the epidermis. Anton receives top marks in all categories.

Conveying the syllabus: excellent, sit down
Our instructor could even teach the Swiss skiing. He is able to motivate the group and he is always charming and competent. This human GPS-system can access the name, height and gradient of every Tirolean mountain from his memory.

Readiness to flirt: Amour in high-altitude euphoria?
On this assignment we were not able to rely on medical instruments, we had to trust our feminine charms and depend on our psychological skills. Anton failed to respond to both! His focal point remained the course syllabus. The curves that his pupils draw in the snow with their ski poles seemed to interest him more than the curves in our anatomy! At the end of our tests we noted that Anton certainly does not fit the expected macho cliché.

Findings: ski instructors can surprise
The clichéd macho, womanizing ski instructor is long gone. Modern instructors are open-minded and intuitive. They are more interested in teaching skiing prowess than philandering. One cliché remains: without exception ski instructors are fantastically good looking - in the Tirol that is.
